How a booking works
Five stages, from your first message to the artist’s flight home.

Your brief
Tell us the date, city, venue, audience and budget. Rough answers are fine, and we’ll work out the details with you.

Shortlist and availability
We contact the artists’ agents and management, then tell you who is available, what they charge and any conditions attached.
- 03
Offer and contract
We submit the offer, negotiate the fee and the rider and agree when deposits are due. Nothing is confirmed until the contract is signed.

Travel and logistics
Flights, visas, hotels, ground transport, security, backline and the rider. We plan every leg of the journey.

Show day
Our team meets the artist on arrival and stays with them until they’re back at the airport.
What moves the fee
An artist’s fee changes from one booking to the next. These are the things that affect it most, so you can plan your budget before you ask.
The distance
Flights, crew size and routing. If the artist is already touring nearby, everyone saves.
The rider
Hospitality, production and technical needs vary a great deal from one artist to the next.
Exclusivity
Radius clauses and exclusivity windows protect your show, but they add to the fee.
Set length and format
A 90-minute headline set, a wedding performance and a DJ set are priced very differently.
Private or public
Private and corporate bookings are priced differently from ticketed shows.

Questions we hear a lot
Can you book an artist who has never played in Africa?
Often, yes. Many artists will play a first African date if the offer, the travel and the security plan are right, and that’s the conversation we have with their teams.
How far ahead should we book?
For an international headliner, six months or more is comfortable and three months can work. Anything shorter depends on the artist’s tour schedule, so it’s still worth asking.
Do you only book for events in Africa?
No. We’re registered in South Africa, Zimbabwe, the United States and Belgium, and we book for clients wherever they are. The Rap Arena Playoff took us to Las Vegas.
What does it take to hold a date?
Usually a signed offer and a deposit. The amount depends on the artist, and we’ll tell you exactly what their team needs before you commit to anything.
Will you keep a private booking private?
Yes. We only share photos or footage from a private event with the client’s permission.
